I am currently a freshman at a cal state college in California. I want to transfer to the University of Oregon by next fall ( Fall 2012). By the end of my freshman year I will have a total of 48 units give or take.My first quarter I took 12 and currently I am taking 18. My first quarter I received 1 A and 2 C's. ( A in English 107, C in College Algebra, and a C in anthropology) I plan to get all A's by the end of this quarter. I took Spanish in high school- Spanish 1 ( d,c), Spanish 2 (a,a) and Spanish 3h (b,b).If I continue to get a's or even b +'s will I have a guaranteed spot/ will I get admitted as a transfer into the university?

Thank you
-Anxious Applicant

UO doesn’t have guaranteed admission for any applicant anymore. (They have in the past for applicants with a certain GPA, but have dropped that policy.) The only thing you can do is apply and see how it works out. Just from what you’ve written, it does appear you meet the basic requirements for transfer students, assuming English 107 is a composition class.

Dear 'rentof2,
I know the university doesn’t offer guaranteed admission anymore, but I was jut hoping that if I met all the requirements that I would have a very good chance( at least a 75%). I should have used a different word other than ‘guaranteed’. I am just very anxious about my application and whether or not I will get in. I got denied last year but I really love this school. So I am just hoping for the best.
thank you for replying. Your opinion/thought helps
So I got in I forgot to tell you I got in that year I posted the original post
