I am currently a community college student hoping to transfer to umass amherst next spring. I want to major in accounting
my stats:
3.7 gpa (29 credits completed)
ECs
President of Club (club member of the year)
Do I have a good shot?
I’m also a member of a the buisness club
Accounting is very selective but you may have a shot. I had similar stats. I had a 3.65 with 28 credits. I also came from a CC. I didn’t have any EC’s though. I got in to the school for biology, which is not as selective. You didn’t mention your SAT score. I had an average score. Usually they typically admit students into Isenburg with GPA’s closer to 4.0, however that’s for highschool grads, so for a transfer 3.7 is probably fine, combined with your EC’s I would say you have a shot.
