Anybody here transferred into a Junior year? Was it difficult to adjust, develop relationships with professors, get involved in the new community? Would anyone like to share their experiences? Pros and Cons?

...bumping this up because I'd love to hear some experiences as well...

Id also like to know if transfering as a junior would suck.

don't most people who transfer do it junior year anyways?

I'm gonna transfer for junior. It might be more difficult to get envolved in. But anyway, let's try our best. Good luck!

yea i'm transferring as a junior too. here's to being halfway done w/ college and completely clueless.

Me too, junior transfer. I didn't really realize I didn't like my old college until the summer after my freshman year, so it was too late to transfer.

I hope it's worth it! Good luck to us!

I am trying to transfer right now. I have 48 credits and am not sure if it is possible for this to be any harder.

So bump for people who have done it.

I'm transferring into my junior year. I'll be at Washington University in St. Louis. I actually really enjoyed the experience of transferring after my sophomore year because there was more of an emphasis put on my college record and awards than on my HS stuff.

I am just like Paige in the fact I didnt realize until after the summer after my freshman year how much I hated the place I was at and wanted to transfer...this is a great post guys, same concerns I have
Im thinking aout trying to transfer to UNC as a junior bc I like the health policy program they have....I was worried about the social aspect too so keep adding to this post

Bump to the top of the thread.

I've been to three schools now... transferring is easy if you're a social person, or probably easier if you're not ;)... honestly, if it's friends you're worried about, just talk to people in your classes, you'll meet people quick... if it's profs... likewise, you'll get to know them... how many do you really take more than one class with anyway? That's pretty rare... the campus will be clear after one semester... I think your fears are normal, but completely irrational... jump in and enjoy the water.

I may also transfer to UNC my junior year. I think there are like 700 or so transfer students so we can just all be transfer friends.

MightyMeals where do you go now, whats your screen name....the only plm with transfering to UNC is that like evryone is from NC so I hardly know anyone there

I'm transferring to Cornell as a junior. I think profs will be good for me because I'm in a small department.

yeah im transferring for my junior year as well. I am not to concerned, because whenever I get anxious I just think well theres a reason Im transferring in the first place so It cant be any worse than this.
