Hi all,
I study economics at one of the top universities in Germany. I'm an international and freshman. Although I'm here for only 3 months, I want to transfer to an American college so bad. My educational profile is so really messy and I'm not sure if any of the U.S colleges will understand it. What worries me is that I'm making my second Bachelor's degree here. So I already have one in English which I made in my home country. It sounds stupid, but only after my graduation did I understand that I had chosen a wrong path. So I decided on economics which I find great so far. But this german educational system and the atmosphere at the university just make it so really hard for an international to bear. When I was studying English, I studied in the states as an exchange and really enjoyed there.
So I want to transfer as a sophomore at one of the top universities in the states, frankly speaking. And I'm wondering if they will consider my application as I already have a Bachelor's degree. I think it's not really a common case in the states where they have liberal arts edu system and get to try out all types of subjects until they find one that suits best, which is not the case in my home country. And I'm not considering colleges for non-traditional students as I don't have edu gaps, etc.
My stats are as follows:
SAT I: 1940
SATII: none, didn't have time to take
IBT TOEFL: 105
GPA: 3.6 (English major) Secondary School GPA: 94%
Hooks: well, I'm from a very exotic small Asian country. I speak German.

Did translation jobs, got an exchange scholarship from the U.S State Department, taught English, got some medals in language olympiads, etc.

What would you do, were you in my shoes? Would you consider transferring to the states? Do you think they will consider my application? If so, which universities are matches? My case is so really complicated, I know. But I'm completely lost right now and need help, plse.
