I'm having a slight dilema. I am currently attending a CC in Santa Fe, New Mexico, but this is my last semester here. My goal is to attend Stanford as a transfer student but I just recently moved to Albuquerque New Mexico. I still need to get some classes out of the way before I can apply, so my question is. Should I go to the University in Albuquerque (UNM) or should I just transfer to the CC over there (TVI). I really don't want to go to the CC in ABQ but do you think it would be better as far as chances go? Since I know they look at CC transfer students a little more closely than 4-year college students...any advice?

Stanford, as a private university, does not give any priority to cc students. I am currently a transfer and almost every single transfer in my dorm (26 out of 28) are from four-year universities and a lot of them are from top 15 universities (Yale, Princeton, Wharton, Columbia, UChicago, Duke, etc.)

That being said, I would probably call the admissions office and ask them how they would deal with you enrolling in another university or community college to finish up your classes.
