Transfering to FSU MT

How hard is it from SFCC?

We were told that you must have an A.A. for in-state transfers. Then I heard that FSU was offering out-of-state tuition discounts, we to are confused. PS: UF has some of the same transfer restrictions.

Transferring into the MT program is just like auditioning as a freshmen. Depending on how many credits you have in the field, they'll accept you into whichever year: freshmen, sophomore, etc.

As far as the actually school of Florida State is a different matter.

The Music Theatre curriculum is four years so it is best to prepare to be in the program for four years, regardless of the amount of transfer credit. Every once in a while a transfer student will complete the program in three years, but that is rare.

Academic admission to FSU as a transfer student is different and I encourage prospective transfers to contact me because transfer situations tend to be unique.

Best wishes!
