Transfering to MIT Sloan as a 1st Year

Hi there,

I am a student at the University of Toronto for the Commerce program in my first year. I'm wondering if I am still eligible to apply for transfer to MIT Sloan to their 2nd year program. I understand that the odds and statistics are EXTREMELY difficult, but I'd like to give it a shot nonetheless.

Thanks!
John

are you a grad student?

No I’m not, I’m an undergrad in my first year at university.

then you don’t transfer to ‘MIT sloan’ - you transfer to MIT.

Ah yes, that’s right, sorry about that. I would be trying to get into MIT specifically. It seems that they are looking that I have science courses. Though, my current courses are set by mandatory requirements from the commerce program here in UofT, which means I don’t have Biology or Physics or Chemistry.

Does this mean that I won’t be eligible to apply for a transfer? Would I have the option to apply as a freshman there then?

Thanks for the help!
John

did you take bio / phys / chem in high school?

no matter what, you’re a transfer student.
