I am currently attending the University of Rhode Island and looking to transfer to the College of New Jersey next year as a sophomore. My SAT scores are 1150 and my first semester grades were : A, A, B-, B-, C+, and an incomplete which is in the process of being changed. what does everybody think?

hey jfigs05. i'm in the process of transferring as well, and tcnj is one of the places i've applied to. i'll tell you what tcnj told me when i went on a tour (which is kind of humorous considering i live like 10 minutes away from the campus), if it helps. they said that you should have at least a 3.0 gpa, though if you do not, they will consider the rigor of your academic program and other factors as well. your sat score is a bit low for this school that is attempting to market itself as "the public princeton," though the more college work you complete the less they will look at that. all in all, i think you have a shot, especially if you write a compelling essay as to why your interested in tcnj. hope that helps.

Hey, I just got accepted as a sophomore transfer student for the fall semester. How about either one of you?
