Hi

I'm wondering whats your take on transferring majors within a school. How hard would it be to say get into a college on a "easy" major and then transfer to your desired one the next year or two?

Thanks

Wow! Something colleges have never thought of. In many cases you have to compete with entering freshmen to get into more desired ones.

Even going from one competitive program to another can be hard, even with very good grades. I know someone that was a journalism major at Maryland that wanted to switch to the business school and she had to jump through hoops and extend her time there.

the first 2 years of college is core classes. Therefore it shouldn’t be too difficult to change majors. If it’s a lot of paperwork, I can handle that.
