Does anyone know how easy or difficult it would be to transfer from Engineering to A&S or vice versa?

It's very easy - even though the schools are separate, in reality, at the undergrad level, they're very closely linked. Switching between schools is just the same as switching between majors in the same school - all you have to do is fill out a bubble sheet form at the Registrar's office, then take that to your new department and have an adviser assigned

As usual, everything tanman stated is absolutely correct. It is quite easy to switched between the two schools at Hopkins ... in fact when a student is admitted they are admitted into both schools and can switch their intended major at any time.

The one exception to this rule that tanman did not state is the biomedical engineering (BME) major. One must apply and be admitted directly into the BME major, and an internal transfer is not an option.
