Transferring courses taken 'out of order'?

I was able to use AP tests to take Physics: E&M this semester without taking Physics: Mechanics beforehand, the prerequisite for E&M. Later in the semester, I found out that although my CC allows me to skip Mechanics with AP credit, UC Berkeley (where I hope to transfer) does not. I'm therefore planning to take Mechanics next semester. Will I still be able to transfer E&M to Berkeley, even though I took it 'out of order'? Does it matter whether or not I took the prereq of Mechanics before taking E&M at my community college?

I’m very confident that they don’t care about order, but I couldn’t point you to a source for that. In fact, I can’t recall every seeing in come up on any of the admission pages or uc app website.

When I transferred all of the UC’s were okay with me having taken two different courses in a series at separate community colleges, so I’d be surprised if taking a series out of order would matter at all. From my own experience, it would seem that they’re really only looking to see that you completed the courses. The where (for IGETC approved CC’s)? And the when? Are seemingly irrelevant.

Out of order should be accepted; indeed, the ASSIST pages sometimes mention that physics topics are covered in a different order at different schools, so you may have to complete the entire physics sequence at the same CC to get coverage of all of the topics.

Another example is that Berkeley L&S CS and EECS list CS 61A, 61B, and 61C. CS 61B is more commonly found at CCs than the other two, so some students transfer with CS 61B fulfilled, but not CS 61A or 61C.

Thank you!
