I'm a junior in high school and my gpa is just barely a 2.0. I want to get into a somewhat decent film program, and I was looking at Arizona State University's Herberger Institute, because I want to get into a film program.
This sounds slacker-y because it is, but I really cant see my GPA being pulled up while in high school. I was thinking of going into community college for the first two years so that they'll look at that instead of my high school gpa, right?
College is really stressing me out because I need to have a set plan and back up plan or else I'll freak out when it actually comes, but I'm not even qualified for any film programs that I've looked at.
But I was thinking if I go to community college for the first few years it'll A) give me time to work on a decent portfolio B) Give the colleges/universities something better to look at and C) knock out a lot of the price. So there's a lot of perks, but I don't know what to do after that.

It sounds like a workable plan. Put it into operation and come back after a year of CC with good grades and see what recommendations you get.

Definitely sounds workable, but why is your HS GPA so low and why do you expect to get a better GPA in CC?
