I'm planning to transfer from Boston University College of General Studies. CGS is a two year general education program. You cannot transfer from CGS to other colleges in BU until you have finished the two years. I didnt really realize what CGS was before accepting admission. I want to double major (Neuroscience and Applied Math) and am afraid being in CGS will make this insanely difficult. Also, financially, I would leave BU with $100k in ungraduate debt. I am planning to attend graduate school. Also, for me, a open city campus doesnt have the community I am looking for. I am looking at transferring to UConn (more likely) or Wesleyan. I am a resident of Middletown, CT, so both UConn and Wesleyan have some financial aid benefit. Assuming, I get into both -- I am applying to UConn Honors, which would be better? I am applying for Spring 2015, but may wait til Fall 2015. Would taking a semester at Community College affect my admission to either? Would it be better to stay at BU for the year if I dont transfer in Spring? Do I have a chance going from BU CGS to Wesleyan or UConn? Is going from a degree from BU to UConn a huge academic drop? Is it even possible to double major at BU CGS?
