Hey there. Had a few questions for anyone whose transferred from a community college to UCSD doing Biology. I'll currently be in my third year at CC, first year I had a bad ed plan which pushed me back. My question is though can I transfer to UCSD without organic chemistry and take it there? Also, from my school it allows me to take applied calc to transfer there, which is a one semester class, or take Calc 1-3. If I take the 1-3 will it improve my chances of getting in? I currently have a 3.2 GPA overall.

What are you planning on doing with a biology major? yes you can take O chem at UCSD instead of CC but it will most likely be easier at CC. O chem isnt bad from my experience. As long as you can memorize and regurgitate lol. I would stay away from applied calc (business calc). If you switch your major, which you probably will, you will most likely be required to take the calc 1-3 series. I would really recommend taking calc 1-3 at CC. Take some more time at CC to finish right. It will only save you money and give you more time to think about your major.

by the way if your not doing TAG and your gpa is 3.2 you should deff take calc series and do well ( try to bring your GPA up). If your have TAG then maintain that 3.0
