Transferring from NYU to UPenn

I am currently a freshman at NYU and have been finding that I don't quite like it here on campus. That being said, I am well aware that it's been less than two weeks in and only a week into classes. After a week and a half of pure anxiety about whether I'm in the right place and whether I'll make friends, etc.., I am finally starting to fee more comfortable here. However, I do understand that it is quite a possibility that I may still want to transfer at the end of the year. I'm looking into majoring in psychology right now and hope that I can use this year as a time of discovery so that I know what i want to do going into next year. I find that if i DO attempt a transfer, the University of Pennsylvania would be ideal with its great psychology program (among other great programs) and its closed campus college environment (which i have also looked into extensively) My question is should I try to transfer after this year? And if I do, what will I need to improve my chances of being accepted? I plan on getting the best grades I possibly can and getting involved in clubs and possibly leadership positions. I hope to really get to know my professors so that I can get great recommendations.
I of course plan on making the absolute best of my first year at NYU, but also want to keep in mind that I have options if I find it isn't the place for me.

***And if anyone could give input on housing for transfer students as well as financial aid for UPenn, that would be great!
