<p>My son is a senior at NYU with an economics major and minor in math and business. He loves living in NY and the intellectual NYU students that he has been able to meet. But he has been frustrated time and time again at his inability to access the Stern classes. Most of his economics classes have been extremely large and disappointing (while his friends with other majors in CAS have had quite a different experience). As in the rest of the country, he was unable to find an internship in the city this summer, even unpaid. Meanwhile, his Stern friends had access to internship fairs and directories that he did not. This semester is the first time that I have ever seen him excited about his classes. I would suggest talking to the economics department and asking some pointed questions before you transfer.</p>
