hello all

Please imagine:
If I am currently doing a LAW degree in the UK as a year one student,
when I transfer to US (in my supposedly second year here in the UK),am I required to start all over again as freshman or will I be sophomore? (bearing in mind that US colleges dont offer undergraduate law study)
The problem here is that UK undergraduate law study is almost incompatible to any US undergraduate courses and hence the doubt.

Please enlighten me?

Thanks in advance for your help :)

I think that you would have to start as a freshman. At least, that is what I have seen from the websites of some schools. For example, Columbia says that non-US style applicants should apply as a freshman.

Why do you want to transfer anyway? As an international student who had the choice to go either to the US or to England, I regret my choice now. The chance of studying in a place in London is never going to come again. Sadly. =(

You will almost certainly need to apply as a transfer student. Contact each of the institutions on your list, and ask about this. Even if none of your credits from the UK transfer, you will still need to provide official copies of that information when you apply.
