I'm currently a Senior in high school with UC Merced in mind. The thing is: I want to transfer over to Berkeley, MIT or Stanford. I'm thinking of majoring in Computer Science or Electrical Engineering and my dream school is MIT. I heard of a program that Merced had in place a couple years of ago like Bobcat to Bears, or something along those lines (don't quote me on that), but is that still in place today? I was thinking of staying in Merced for around two years and then transferring to Berkeley or the other universities I've mentioned. Can anyone give me any insight on transferring from a UC to another UC, or from a UC to a private university?

Also, on another note, I was thinking of either going to UMB (University of Massachusetts, Boston or a Community College), which do you believe is my best choice?

Thank you so much!

If you’re only getting into UC Merced out of high school, I doubt you’ll be the kind of caliber they’re looking for.

Go to a California community college, get as close to a 4.0 as possible, and transfer to Berkeley. That would be the easiest school to get into out of your bunch and it is already incredibly hard to get into. I know plenty of people who have done this. I know someone who tried to get into MIT for five years at my community college. The best she could do was UCSD and finally decided to go there. I know someone at MIT right now and he is worlds apart from her in quality, even though she got top grades as well.

Transferring from Merced to one of the other schools you name will be close to impossible. I agree with CalDud that your best bet is to go to a community college and transfer from there. With good grades at a CC, you will have much better options.
