If a student comes in undeclared, how hard is it to transfer into the college of engineering at Davis? Specifically, what kind of requirements or grades must a student meet? Does it vary by each major? Well, I got accepted but they gave me my alternate major (undeclared physical sciences) instead of my first choice (civil engineering). Any advice?

omgosh me too .. i got my alternative major too! .. (design) ...... i hope its not difficult to switch majors if i want to... I heard that it was if you are going into a different college .....but i'm not sure

My roommate has been trying to switch into the college of engineering and is having a hard time. The GPA requirement is pretty high, apparently, and thus it is difficult to get in. I know he has at least a 3.0 so I'm assuming the prerequisite must be a 3.5 or something..

Damn that sucks because I actually like Davis. But if it's too difficult to switch majors, then I will not waste my time because I'd rather go to a state school.

That's the general case for ALL UCs. It's difficult to transfer into the College of Engineering once you come to campus.
