transferring next year

so darn it, I have no choice other than to attend my safety school (suny stonybrook) as of now. I had a few question about transferring.

will it be extremely difficult transferring from a suny to columbia?

should i retake the SAT? i currently have a 2110 (630 cr, 750 m, and 730 wr) I already have taken the SAT 3 times.

Which program is generally harder to transfer into SEAS or CC? I will be applying for SEAS.

Is it a plus factor if you have very strong science and math grades and youre applying to SEAS?

Can you take biological courses such as biology, organic chemistry, etc. while you are enrolled in SEAS?

How much will my high school record affect my chances? I wasnt involved much in hs, but I will be joining tons of activities at stonybrook.

responses will be much appreciated. thanks in advance

edit: Oh and I forgot, I was admitted into stony's university scholars program, which only the top students get, is this is a plus factor?

Were you rejected this year? Were you rejected from SEAS or CC?

I don’t think you need to retake your SAT, however make sure your GPA in college is high. It’s hard to transfer .

i got rejected from CC this year.

and really?, I thought a 2250+ puts you in a good position along with a strong gpa.

^ Well, your already in college and I’m pretty sure that the most important thing for transfers is their College GPA.

Why would apply to SEAS if you intially wanted to attend CC?

i;d like advice too. i’d be transferring from either cornell or georgetown. what is usually the transfer acceptance rate? im curious

BUMP… would like more opinions on this

BUMP

10chars

Kid, first of all you seem really new to this thing called “college admissions”. (hence the acceptance to suny)

It is extremely difficult to transfer from suny to Columbia, as difficult as it is to see god from circle nine.

If you are applying SEAS, what’s the use of asking which is harder. And they are of about equal hardness, they’re just different.

Um, maybe… Why is SEAS called the Fu Foundation School of Engineering and Applied Sciences again?

how am I “really new to college admissions”?.. and plz if you have nothing positive to say, keep your mouth shut, I will appreciate it. I just asked a few questions for gods sake.

dont worry jazzy. this epamonidas guy is just a scumbag. he makes snide comments in every post he makes.
