Transferring out of Lafayette College

Hello everyone,

I plan on transferring out of Lafayette College at the end of my freshman year. I came to Lafayette for the outstanding academic reputation and for athletic purposes, but socially it is not my place and the athletics did not work out like I wanted to. I also do understand that Lafayette is an exceptional academic institution and leaving might not be the best life choice ever but I am very unhappy and I do not want to be miserable for 3 more years. So, I plan on transferring out after this year, I really want to go to either Virginia Tech or Clemson University for the next 3 years of my college career, and the reason I am making this thread is to see if anyone has had a similar experience. In high school, I graduated with a 3.3 GPA and a 29 composite on my ACT, during my first semester at Lafayette I received a 2.9 GPA. If I never attended Lafayette, I would have been most likely been able to get into Virginia Tech and possibly Clemson University straight out of high school. Virginia Tech requires nothing but my high school transcripts, scores and first semester grades and Clemson just requires fall and spring grades from Lafayette. Thank you for any help anyone can offer in advance.
