Hey all, I’m a second year at UCR and I want to transfer out. After almost 4 quarters here I have found that the school isn’t a good fit for me. I didn’t put enough consideration after high school into the college, nor the major I wanted to pursue. After completing a whole year and a quarter undeclared, I realize that I want to go into graphic design. I am thinking about transferring to a CSU (specifically csulb) but I am not sure if that is the right decision. I know that transferring from a UC to a CSU isn’t popular, but I personally don’t know a UC with a good art program. I realize that it is too late to apply to fall 2019 in any UC, but there still is about 2 weeks for CSUs. Looking for any advice I can get. Thank you
Surprised that UC Santa Cruz does not have a good art program.
If UCR does not have your major, there is nothing wrong in transferring to a CSU that offers it. Will you have all the required pre-requisite courses along with the Golden 4 completed by Spring 2019 for transfer?
