Transferring Student Athlete. So LOST.

<p>I run track at a DII state school that is not my type. I went here because of financial troubles to help my mother out and to simply be guaranteed to run. It's small, I have nothing in common with most people here, everyone is loud; it's hard to study (I've transferred dorms four times!), other athletes and the coach are SO LAZY. (I have practiced many times alone on the track by myself because no one showed up!) I can go on all day about this school. It is just not my cup of tea whatsoever. I have a full ride, so I have no idea about financial aid, how to apply, absolutely nothing. I'm a sophomore now and there is NO way I'm staying at this school. I want to transfer to another state or UC. I see online that the deadlines are Monday or later on, so I might have to start a little later. My high school coach told me to wait it out because this year coaches will look at me and I'll easily get recruited, but I'm doing this as a just in case. I know NCAA rules say I do not have to red shirt since I'll be a junior. I have a 3.4 GPA. I'm doing my GE's, undecided major. Also, majors that I really want aren't at this school.
So... what do I do first? I'm thinking of this as more athletic, because my talent will get me in more than likely. Should I contact coaches myself? I know I sound so clueless, but athletics handles everything. When I was a senior in high school all I did was fill out FAFSA, NCAA Eligibility, and applied online, send in transcripts. Same road sort of... kind of?
