Transferring to a Community College and then back to a 4 year school

I am currently a freshman and hating the school that I am at and this is my only real option. I am going to transfer at the end of the semester. Is this a good idea? also, I am struggling very much academically as well.

Doable, but all of your past college courses and grades will be considered when you apply to transfer to another four year school. So do the best you can at your current college and at the community college.

Do your best, some below C grade is not transferable now and in the future.

You should figure out why. Is it because the material is too hard? Because you dislike the school? Something else?

Most colleges, probably including the one you are at, have an Academic Skills Center that can help identify problems and start you on a path to improvement. If your performance is due to being unhappy or depressed most schools have counselors available you can work with at little or no cost.

The point I want to make is that while a transfer may be the right thing to do, don’t assume it will instantly solve all your difficulties. You are you no matter where you go.
