Transferring to a school with plus/minus grades

I was accepted to University of Florida for the Fall 2014 term, and I’m trying to transfer from Hillsborough Community College, but I’m worried about having gotten a C in one of my classes. UF states that it needs a C+/2.5 GPA in the pre-professional classes of Calc 1-3, Physics 1-2 and Differential equations. I have all A’s and 1 B in each of those except differential equations, where I received a C. My CC does not use plus/minus grades, and just gives students whole letters. Will this C be viewed as a failing grade and leave me unable to transfer?
My college doesn’t allow students with a C to retake courses, and if I can’t transfer with a C in DE, I’m not sure what my options are. I guess I’m just a bit confused if UF requires a C+/2.5 GPA average of all the courses, or if it looks at them on a class-by-class basis. I’ve sent an email asking this question, but haven’t yet received a response.

Any insight if anyone has been in this situation would be greatly appreciated. I’m really worried this C will void my admission to UF.

I transferred to UF from a CC that did not award plus or minus grades. UF calculated a C the same as if it were a C at UF (2 points). So yes, it is a passing grade.

The average is all of those classes. I assume that is 18 hours worth of classes…4As, 1B and 1C (assuming they’re all 3 hour courses…I don’t know about physics) comes out to a 3.5 average for those courses.
