Transferring to ASU

Hi All,

I wanted some feedback on my hopeful transfer to Arizona State University this fall 2014.
So I attended a school in Maryland for my first semester of college, where I also swam division 1. It was really hard to keep up with the work and also practice 20+ hours a week so my gpa suffered that semester. I ended with a 1.9 gpa and ended up transferring to a state school in CT where I am from. Because I had a 1.9 gpa I had to attend non-matriculating and I just wasn't focused at all because I don't like the school or professors. That semester I had a 1.3 gpa and had to do another semester non-matriculating. This last semester I took a grade replacement for a course I failed and my gpa last semester was a 2.66 which brought my overall gpa to a 2.07 with 21 transferrable credits. I applied for fall 2014 and got rejected but I want to know if I will get in once I obtain the minimum transfer credits (24).

Shortened: I currently have a 2.07 GPA and 21 transferrable credits. I was denied for fall 2014 but I am resending my transcripts after this semester.
Do you think I was denied mainly because I don't have enough credits to transfer? I am currently taking 13 credits and doing decent.

Will my chances of being accepted rise once I have the 24 minimum transfer credits?

Hope someone can help me out and let me know if I still have a chance to go to ASU for fall 2014.

Thanks!!

Also my GPA in high school was a 3.0

https://transfer.asu.edu/transferrequirements</a> indicates that they are looking for at least a 2.50 college GPA. There are some cases where you may get assured admission, but some majors may require higher standards.

I’m applying as exploratory, which yes has a 2.50 GPA requirement but do you think they will not accept anyone with lower?
