Transferring to cal state fullerton with a lower gpa

I would really like to attend Fullerton, it is my top choice. What are my odds of getting in?
Health science major
GPA 2.8
transferring from CC in Riverside county

I applied for the same major I have been rejected by CSUF twice so far. They have higher requirements due to “impaction” but I hope to get in for health science at least geez. I go to orange coast college and applied for spring 2015 with a 2.83. They have received my transcripts now I just have to wait to see how they feel about my application.

Did either of you achieve your AS for Transfer?

Not sure about your odds, but it might be lower since you aren’t a local transfer. Good luck!

I’d say probably not very good chance for either. How about Channel Islands?

Today I was offered admission to the CSUF spring semester for health science. I have a 2.83 transfer GPA with no associates degrees. However I was a local transfer applicant.

Congratulations!

I was also denied by Fullerton. From the Riverside area as well looking to transfer from a cc. 3.2 GPA. I called to double check what their GPA requirement is…apparently for “out-of-local” transfers it’s a 3.44. Best of luck and congrats to all!
