Transferring to cc after 3 yrs at uni?

I had to drop out of ucsd after 3 years (accumulated 114 quarter units). I really want to get my degree (accounting/biz econ in that area), but I have to stay in la for financial reasons. I've got a low gpa with several w's, so I know my chances at usc or ucla are small. Worst case, I'll transfer to csun. (Btw, was a 4.0 student in high school, just a lot of crap in college messed up my grades. Raising gpa wouldn't be a problem.)

Question: Can I even transfer to smc with that many credits and apply to ucla/usc? Upside, some of my classes might not transfer over to smc so that might leave me more room for taking classes and raising my gpa.

You need to make appointments with the admissions officers at the universities that you are interested in, and at the CC. Sit down with them and talk about your goals. Have a plan for achieving those goals. Ask their advice, and then follow up on it. A lot of things will depend on just exactly how bad your GPA from UCSD is.
