Greetings, all.
I’m a current college sophomore at a SUNY school (started out at an Ivy, had to leave for financial reasons), and am finding that my current coursework isn’t very rigorous and my academic interests don’t fit well into any majors offered by my school. Cooper’s general engineering BS major seems like a good fit. College isn’t really my jam (just trying to get in, learn stuff, and get out) so the lack of “campus life” described here doesn’t really bother me.
I’m just trying to get a gauge on what’s up with transferring to CU - the admissions office told me I could still be admitted despite being so far along is school, but I’m not sure whether I want to spend $75 if the transfer acceptance rate is like 1%.
Current students - do you know any transfer students? Where did they come from? Are they able to live in the residence halls (I see that a new one has recently opened)? Also, any info from general engineering students of any concentration would be pretty great.
If anyone’s interested in chancing, I have a 3.7 GPA, 3.8 technical GPA, and a 2390 SAT I.
