Hey everyone,

I'm a transfer student coming from a 4 year university. I originally started in a community college (for forensics) and maintained a 3.0-3.5 the entire time. I switched to a 4 year university for a major in Chemistry, and found out soon that I wasn't truly doing what I wanted to. My gpa while taking courses at the school were a 2.1-2.3 and I took a semester off due to academic probation. I know that my heart is in fashion, specifically styling or buying, and I wanted to know my chances of getting into FIT or Parsons?

Thanks!

You should try to hold up to your specific interests in fashion and create a portfolio or something to present and show your passion. Your GPA is a little low, usually F.I.T. looks for 2.8 AT THE LEAST. Do you have any community work, or clubs and anything else you’ve participated in? They respect extracurriculars and anything that can show your talent. I suggest you check out their website and see what major you would be specifically interested in first.

Hey Everyone, i want to transfer my credits’ to FIT from Malaysia’s Creative Technology University, i called several times to the admission office and checked from the website, but still can not get what should i do…?!? i have my high school transcripts, foundation one year and one year of my Fashion and Retail bachelor degree…i know that it’s better send my transcripts to WES, but i want to know, how many credits’ do they need, and how high my GPA must be? my foundation in design wasn’t that good it is only 2.53 then my first year of degree is 3.0, is it enough? And there one more question, that my programm moduls is a bit different from their, is it going to be problematic for the transfering?
