I recently applied and was accepted as a transfer student to the University of Michigan. I was wondering if anyone could fill me in/had experience transfering to Michigan, and what their experience was like. I want to join greek life, but I understand as a transfer and a sophmore this may be difficult. Any advice/experience would be great. Thanks
@cubs2016 Hey! I transferred a semester ago and am slowly transitioning into the University setting. But I find taking part in clubs have introduced me to a lot more people and friends. Classes and group projects helped to but it really was the clubs and the small knit communities that helped me make great friends here.
I am not a transfer student, but I am a freshman in a sorority with 2 transfers along with a handful of sophomores and freshman who took gap years in my pledge class. I am not sure about frats or other sororities, but I don’t think it will really hinder your ability to join a sorority, and within it everyone is looking for friends, and there will likely be a bunch of people your own age in your pledge class.
