I’m a community college student in California and I just finished my first semester with a 4.0 GPA (16 units). I read the transfer info on the U of T website, but it seems mostly aimed towards Canadian college students; the part for international students is vague. Do I have to take a certain set of classes to apply as a computer science major? Do they care about your high school grades?, are test scores needed?, etc.
I finished high school a year early by taking the CHSPE which is the legal equivalent of a high school diploma in California, but I don’t know if U of T will recognise it as valid. My high school GPA was a 2.7, which was part of why I decided to do so. I sent the U of T admissions office an email but their response was pretty generic. I’m going to apply to UCB, UCLA, UCSD, UCI, USC, and some other schools, maybe UBC. Do you think U of T would be a better choice than some of the schools I listed?
