I am not 100% sure that I want to transfer there yet but I do know for sure that I want to apply, see if I get in, and then make my decision. I just finished my first year of college. First semester I messed up bad. The change and everything threw me off and I didn't do good at all, not anywhere near what I am capable of. I got a 1.94 GPA first semester, and a 2.93 GPA second semester, 1 A, 3 B's, and 1 C. Now my overall GPA is 2.4. I know it's still not good at all. My questions is, should I appply to WVU now during the summer, or should I finish up another semester or two where I am currently, bring my GPA up, and have a better chance of getting in? Thanks.

I don’t have any direct experience with WVU, but my transferring son had good luck with just contacting admissions offices, telling an admissions counselor his GPA, and getting a response as to whether he was a likely admit. Also suggest you check their website; some schools list the minimum GPA that they require for transfers.

Ok thanks. Thats a good idea. Never thought of that.

I am almost positive that you will be accepted if you apply now… WVU has sessions where you can literally fill out the application on the spot (takes ~5 minutes) and get a decision immediately.

bump for more answers.
