Transferring to Wharton after freshmen year

Hi!

So I'm going to Cal in the fall but Wharton has always been my 1st choice. How hard is it to transfer?

Also, I thought people tend to transfer after two years at a university but on their site, they recommend transferring after your freshmen year. Since you apply during your second semester, I don't understand how I'll really be able to be different on my applications than I was was when I applied as a senior in high school. I'll only have gone through one semester of college; I doubt I'll have a prestigious internship by then; and I'll only be joining some clubs on campus and not lead them. How am I suppose to get in this time around if I got rejected before?

Please help me! Should I try transferring or just forget about it and focus on getting into Haas?

external transfers = ludicrously tough

internal transfer = tough, but not ludicrously so.

point is: you need a killer GPA and standout stats. no way to sugercoat this.

I heard external transfers were tough. How do they expect people to get standout stats in only one semester of college? thats what I dont understand/:

I can manage the GPA.
