I am currently going to a CC and I plan on graduating in Spring 2015(3 years in CC). I made a Educational Plan for Computer Engineering and I noticed that I would graduate with 93 credits;98 if I don't get into Chemistry 1A straight and have to take Chemistry 4. I was wondering if this was bad? Is getting to many credits a bad thing or a good thing? My first choice is transferring to Cal Poly SLO and 2nd UC San Diego.

For UC’s its normal to see students with 90+ credits, in fact I have applied this year with 90+ credits excluding my spring semester from the count!. So no I would not stress about it, same goes for CSU’s they also dont find much trouble as long as youre in the lower 90s I just got into cal poly. In fact they give you even more attention if you finished IGETC, and prereqs before transfer.
