<p>My D was a 2nd semester sophomore transfer to USC. Her grades at CC were MUCH higher thanher HS grades, so I think USC really weighed the higher grades & her special circumstances in admitting her.</p>
<p>There are quite a few merit scholarships only available for freshmen. Part of ease/difficulty of transfer depends on stats of competition.</p>
