Hi everyone,
I may be going to loyola next year..and I was just curious? I know alot of people who have went there who have transfered out and i kinda am just curious on why...I mean, I know alot of people who love it there too. If anyone knows of any reasons..I was just curious

The reason why people transfer is probably due to the fact that they cant keep up with the academics. People may not think they are going into a school which is average for academics but that is in my opinion false. The school is a school for people who like to have fun but know when they need to take care of schoolwork, some however can’t keep up and tend to transfer due to this factor

More than 80% of Loyola students graduate within 4 years. 86% graduate within 5 years. Those are pretty good percentages when compared to most colleges outside the Ivies and other elite schools. This suggests that there are far fewer transfers out of Loyola than there are at most colleges.

most people i know who transferred out transferred for personal/social reasons not academics. this school is not hard academically, most students are under prepared and haven’t taken any APs which is not common for someone on this website.

People transferred because of a few reasons:
They couldn’t keep up with the work
They did not like the bars as the social scene
They could no longer afford the tuition because of lost scholarship (falling below the required GPA)
