Hello so I'm a freshman attending Loyola University Maryland, I'm from NJ. I really like the school and all it has to offer but I feel like its not for me. I don't know I mean I've only been here almost a month. My heart is in California. My first choice was Loyola Marymount in Los Angeles and now I know that I still want to go there or maybe Pepperdine. I want a change and I feel like Loyola isn't much of a difference from home.

Help me.

Should I transfer as a sophomore?
Is it hard to transfer?
Anyone transfer to LMU or Pepperdine?

If your hs stats are strong enough, transfer as a sophomore. That way you’ll be able to get more connected to the campus and make more/closer friends. I think the deadline for Fall '11 is March 1…so get good grades and you may want to make sure that your courses transfer

is your heart not into Loyola in Maryland because its where you live or just the feeling of the school? because i would think Loyola would be similar to LMU. I went to LMU in LA for my first semester of freshman year then left to go to a community college. Now I am a sophomore and getting ready to transfer. If you’re not happy where you are then its not worth staying. College comes once in a life time and you might regret staying at a school that didn’t fit you. Then again, you’ve been there for a month so I’d wait until you are certain your missing out on something there!
