Have any community college transfers heard back yet from SDSU? My admissions is still pending, I was wondering if they have admitted any transfers yet?

Unfortunately I haven't gotten a response back either. My admission status still says pending as well.

I'm still waiting to hear back from SDSU right now. I'm supper worried, but my admissions status page doesn't say anything yet. How do you find out if it's even pending??

Just log in to your webportal account and click on admission status. Scroll down and you'll see it.

Awesome thank you!

Same here still waiting it says pending...I hope I get in!!!!!

Mine says still pending. Please, let me know when you guys hear from them. Thanks!

I hope get in, too!

This is what gets me. A top state school like CPSLO has already admitted transfers for mostly all its majors (except Architecture!), and SDSU still has sent out news to mostly all transfers. Weird system, they think their more competitive. They do have a top-notch Business college though.

My admission status is stuck on Pending. There is also nothing inside of Message Center.

I have not had any contact from them at all. Should we be worried? Does being a business major make a difference?

infinityWOLF, has SDSU admitted transfers? All I know is that someone in one of my online courses said that letters were just about ready to be sent out. That was about 3 weeks ago, though. Also, I am not sure how credible the source is.

I really hope I get in....

Psycho'78,

I just called and talked to the admissions office and they said that SDSU will be notifying transfer students by March 1. She also said that you will get a notification on your webportal first, and then an official letter will be sent out by mail.

I'm not sure how difficult it is to be accepted as business major there. I would research the average transfer GPA accepted as business majors. I've done the same for my major by checking in with the adviser of the department.

Hope that helps!

SDSU is ridiculous. I got accepted to SFSU Oct. 22, like 2 weeks after applying. What sucks is that if I/we dont get accepted we waited this long for nothing pretty much..

Business major is incredibly impacted. My friend already attends SDSU, she's a junior and still cant take certain classes she needs to graduate. But I'm a Sociology major and I still havent heard back...

I don't understand why it takes longer for them to review transfer applications than freshmen's.

KAV88,

same thing happened to me...I got my acceptance from SFSU like 1-2 weeks after I applied, but I am too still waiting to see if I got in to SDSU or not...I hope I do!!!

This thing is driving me nuts. I sure hope the wait is well worth it. I feel like I am pretty much in due to meeting requirements and having a decent GPA, but competitiveness and the number of applications is making me nervous.

I also would have thought that transfer applications were simpler to process. They should at least make the Admission Status more detailed. Pending could mean many things. Why not things like verifying courses/GPA, application read, reviewing major prerequisites, etc. I guess that's too much to ask though.

Well I'm glad I'm not the only one who feels that way haha I have 94 quarter units done, a 3.01, completed my Golden Four and all my major pre-reqs... I'm pretty much dying with anticipation, why do they do this to us? At least they have to tell us in a week so that's something positive about this process.

11 or so more days to go!!! BUT keep checking your status. You'll never know what will happen! :)

Dang, 11 days is a long time. =/

9 days left!!! I called a week ago and they said letters would be sent out this week; however, I did say that I was transfer, but she probably meant more freshmen acceptance letters will be sent out.

SDSU is my backup school for my backup major (Civ. Engr.). I am an Architecture major hoping to go to one of the Cal Polys, but it would be nice to be accepted to SDSU, because I am a legacy and I live in SD. If money matters get worse, I can always go for an M.Arch and just stay close to home for my Bachelor's.

Hope everyone is hanging in there, just a week and a couple days!

I just logged onto web portal and saw I was accepted today! I'm a bus. admin.-marketing major. I'm not sure if I'm going to SDSU as I've been admitted to Indiana University as well and am waiting for another school's decision, but its awesome nonetheless.

I've been admitted too! Yay!

Major: Business with emphasis on Information Systems
Minor: Sociology (perhaps)
GPA: 3.57
All GEs and prerequisites done

Accepted yesterday
Mechanical engineering
3.34gpa
