...Just talked to admissions and apparently SDSU isn't accepting appeals for Fall of '09...kind of a bummer considering I entered some of my grades incorrectly (or rather, they were still in process when I submitted my supplemental update, I bluffed and listed them as B's, and later received A's. My fault, obviously). I was told that no matter what the case, they "cannot even entertain the idea of students appealing." The woman I just spoke with also said that they didn't even have a waiting list for the upcoming new school year. So...NONE of you got wait listed? I'm kinda shocked! Thank you, crashing economy.

Also...to my fellow rejectees--what were your GPA's/Stats?

I am in-state and applied for transfer from a JC/CC into the Spanish major with a 3.3 (without correct entry of A's >:/ ) and clearly didn't make the cut.

I'm wondering...should I appeal anyway, for *****s and giggles? Worst case scenario I would waste 15 minutes and the cost of a stamp...

Good luck and congrats to everyone else! :]

Yeah! My gpa is just ordinary. GE AND MAJOR PREPS HAVE NOT DONE YET!
I got denied by cal poly slo, but was accepted by san jose state, sdsu, uc davis.
Congratulations!

I was recently denied my admission to SDSU. My GPA is 3.0 with a major of Criminal Justice. I read from another thread that the minimum gpa for that particular major is 2.6?. Once I read that I was denied from SDSU, I called thier admissions building and listened through the automated message that "No letters of Appeals would be accepted." However I did keep calling to speak with an actual person and the guy told me that letters of appeals would not be looked at until after May 1st. Is this wrong? What would be the chances of still being accepted after writing a letter of appeal. Reading from a post earlier, looks like a large portion of this falls applicants were just first time freshmans so would transfer applicants have a better chance? Please help, any info would be appreciated. I got into SJSU, but my hopes were for SDSU. Thanks in advance
