Are there any people on this board who transferred OUT of Cornell successfully? If so, what were your stats and to where did you transfer? Thanks.

why would anyone ever transfer out of cornell? haha this totally doesn't help, sorry :(

Bump, any actual stories accompanied with stats would be great, thanks.

PM a member named bball. He not only transferred out of Cornell with success, he also transferred out of the next school (Northwestern) with success. Last I heard, he was at his third school in 3 years. His reasons for transferring? He didn't think his peers were smart enough. I think you two might have a lot in common.

Thanks norcalguy.

It doesn't look like bball ever went to Cornell, I'm pretty sure he's at wake forest.

haha. it's not just bball. his screen name was bball87. hopefully this helps.

Sorry, it's probably bball87. I knew his name had a few numbers after it but couldn't remember what they were.

No prob, thanks for clearing that stuff up.
Fact is, bball87 is far from a success, although his story does give me solace. My numbers are much better than his, and he didn't fair that badly in the transfer game.

bball didn't like the SAT averages at Cornell so he transfered to a school with higher averages. He was still just as miserable there and looked to transfer for a 3rd time failing to realize that the supposed intelligence of the student body has nothing to do with how happy he'll be there.

Still, I'm glad this story gives you solace!

I assume that it was a psychological thing; he thought he would be perceived as smart as his school's reputation allowed.
I'm transferring to major in neurobio. Two different things.

yeah, but only if the school is more prestigious than cornell
