Traveling OOS

So for those who receive out of state interviews, how do you usually travel to the interview site? I thought usually you are only given maybe 2 weeks notice. Is that enough time to book a plane ticket?

I was given about 10 days notice about an interview on the other side of the country. That’s not enough time at all. That said, you can fairly easily get the plane ticket, but you may have to fork over more money than you would like to.

I only applied to places where I can travel by Tram.

One of my biggies, can’t waste money on a plane ticket.

Well, I mean it’s not wasting money if you don’t have any other choice… I mean, if your state has few bs/md opportunities, the wise thing would be to apply widely. :)
