Trip idea if you win the lottery? Has anyone here actually been on this trip or know someone who has?

Basically, you’d fly around the world on a Disney chartered plane and visit every Disneyland resort and sights such as the Taj Mahal and Skywalker Ranch. I guess they’re catering to the 1% and their kids here…
Maybe if I win the lottery? Or do they have a payment plan where you pay installments for the next 30 years?

For that price, I’m going on the 9 month around the world cruise instead.

Same with me! I know people who love Disney and visit the parks frequently, but I don’t think they have the money for this…I guess this is the Disney experience for people like Jeff Bezos, Elon Musk, Bill Gates, Mark Zuckerberg, and the Kardashians…

Might do it with the family next year! I’ll just make my S drop out of college or stop paying for it. Have D give me all her money. We can sell our house, car, and all our stuff. Empty out our IRA’s and 401Ks. Drain our savings and max out all our credit cards. Maybe sell some plasma and take out a loan. See if they have a payment plan. Don’t worry I’m just kidding! H worked at Disney when he was in college, and it really turned off of the Disney brand. This would be the last trip he’d want to take…The price alone would raise his blood pressure.

Wow. That sounds like the opposite of my idea of fun.

What I would like my $$$ to buy is no lines or reservations needed at any restaurant ever. Be it a hole in the wall or Michelin star place.

I was once on a sales recognition trip and my company rented a mountain in Aspen. One of their three. Seemed like one person on every 10th lift.

Maybe rent out a top notch ski place and own the mountain for the week !!

Or maybe fly around the world to every cool concert…for me the 80s people…and get front row seats. It’s much better than the general admission on the lawn I have for REO, Loverboy and Styx later this summer.

Wow, that’s quite a vacation! Lots of neat stuff. But I couldn’t handle the constraints of an itinerary, especially for 24 days. LOL

Exactly! For that kind of money, I’m not following someone else’s schedule!

If I won the lottery I would spend two years in Africa on a long safari. :slightly_smiling_face:

I would try to stay at every Four Seasons at least in the Americas. Lovely hotels.

That trip sounds like the opposite of heaven to me. Not just going to all the Disneys, but having to travel with around the world with a large group of people with that level of passion for a hobby I don’t share.

If I had endless bags of money I’d probably travel to one destination for a month at a time. Like a nice villa or penthouse in Paris/Florence/Prague/etc and just spend my days roaming, eating, and loafing aimlessly, doing whatever struck my fancy that morning over breakfast.

Hmm…maybe a private crewed sailboat or yacht charter in the South Pacific. Or the Mediterranean. Like my own private cruise where everything can be scheduled to my preference.

I do like the idea of the private jet on the Disney package - wonder if there’s a discounted price if you skip all the Disney parks? And maybe skip Orlando too.

Hmmm, can’t imagine ever wanting to go on that particular itinerary. We hate hopping from one venue to another and not nesting anywhere. I didn’t notice anything about COVID precautions or the specific dates of this tour. I wonder how many special people would be included in such a tour.

The idea and price tag are wholly unappealing. I’d love seeing a lot of national parks and similar throughout the world, but preferably only in a very small group. One could do a heck of a lot of things with that much cash/person.

I’ll pass. Disney parks are fun - but only once in a rare while. Two different Disney locations back to back would be one too many, let alone all Disney parks around the world within 3 weeks.

And just a day or day and a half at each location before you’re rushed off to the next destination? No thanks!

Covid protocols are discussed here:

Vaccinations, tests and masks are discussed.

Travel dates are July 9 - August 1, 2023. Room for 75 guests. Definitely not for everyone. Need Venn Diagram of huge Disney fans and sufficient wealth to pay $100k/person. Former is a larger group than the latter and combo is very small. Recommended only for kids 14 and up (though 12 and up are permitted).

I have a couple of friends who this would be the “lottery win” of a trip. They love, love Disney and while I don’t share that love, I appreciate their enthusiasm. Do your thing!!!

My lottery trip? How about a dozen of world’s best beaches? Or visiting all the National parks? I’m not sure!

It’s hard to believe there are that many people who would want to do that kind of trip, that could afford it. STARTING at $110K per person? For just 24 days? I love amusement parks, but even that would be too much for me. And Disney isn’t the best park for those who like thrill rides.

I wish I could I spend the summers in the Alps in Germany or Austria. We would use that as a home base to travel and see everything we wanted. I’d like to do it at least one in my life, but the hard part is leaving the pets. I don’t see H on board with that. Maybe 4-6 weeks or something.

My parents are going on a 60 day cruise next winter/spring from Hawaii through the south pacific to Australia and New Zealand. One of their bucket list items.

I’d be interested in one of those around the world cruises that take several months and leave you in port for a few days so you can see the sights. I believe those are less expensive than the Disney one and you also have the advantage of avoiding all those amusement parks

I tend to like to experience places, get out into local space, hike or bike, things like that. We like to stay at a place at least a couple of days.
IF I were to do a trip like this, I would do Nat Geo (a Disney company) or the Smithsonian.

I know some people I would predict would like it. I’ve fantasized about winning the lottery before and this type of trip wouldn’t be considered. Occasionally I’ll even spend a couple of dollars just so I can legitimately fantasize. Always just our state super lotto the chances are better (I still have a much better chance of some catastrophe occuring) and frankly I have no idea what I’d do with hundreds of millions of dollars. I suppose if I won the trip and wasn’t given some kind of cash out option I would take it.

If you are pondering what alternate trip you would plan rather than the one in the original post, your budget is $4583.33/day…
