Triple Major?

I am currently at Triple Major (CS, Econ, Govt) at a top 10 school with a 3.7 gpa. I want to attend a top 10 law school and was wondering what my chances were with a 173 LSAT. Would a triple major seem appealing to law schools or would they think I'm being an overachiever? (I am genuinely interested in all the fields I'm pursuing and have internships to back them up).

Double and triple majors do not matter and don't get a boost in the admissions process.

Double majors are very common. Triple majors, less so. Still, I have the feeling that to the extent they help at all, they do so because they cement the branding of the student. They add to the impression that X is an applicant who has devoted his studies to preparing for some well-defined career path and wasn't just bouncing around for four years dabbling in things.

I had similar numbers to you (3.85/172) and was a triple major (Econ, PoliSci, Math) at a top ug and managed to get into YLS. Could just be luck, but I like to think that the way my ug coursework, jobs, and ecs played into each other helped me build a particular brand for which YLS was looking.

I'd advise you to to think about what your triple major (along with anything else you've done in school) says about you and try to bring those elements to the forefront of your essay(s).

Wow, triple major, did you do it in 4 years?
