Has anyone ever seen or stayed at the Triple Occupancy Rooms of the Congressional Hall dorms?! I was just assigned to one of those and have no idea of what to expect. Thanks in advance! Also, how’s it like living in congressional hall? It’s not exactly on campus, is it?

I’ve seen them: there are three beds (in the one I saw two beds where bunk beds, and one was a lofted bed). Then there were two built in closets and a wardrobe and drawers built into the lofted bed. It’s cozy but only gets tight if there are three girls with loads of stuff living there – guys tend to have an easier time because they bring less and have less clothing (on average).

Congressional Hall is on Tenley Campus, I lived there for a semester and frankly, wish I could go back. Tenely is a block and a half away from the metro station which I loved because I work off campus and have to wait for the shuttle over at main campus to go to work or into town to have fun. The shuttles are great but sometimes get bogged down in traffic and can take some serious time to get back to campus – you get to skip all of that. Tenley campus rooms are also generally newer and larger than the ones on main campus, and you get your own dining hall that is connected to all the dorms. So when another snowmageddon hits – you don’t have to go outside. Your meal swipes obviously all still work at the main campus dining hall too. There’s a study corridor, and computer lab all on Tenley Campus.

Getting to main campus is a breeze – there is an AU shuttle stop right outside your dorm that takes you straight to main campus on a 3 minute bus ride. If it’s nice and you don’t want to wait for the shuttle, its about a .6 mile walk.

Hope that makes you feel better about things!
