Triplets results and choices

Thank you, guys! I would hate not to be there to drop them off, thank you for the suggestion about pre-orientation trips.

I remember sending out all the financial stuff to so many school when my twins were applying - it was exhausting! And of course much of it had to happen during the snowy winter. Kudos to you for doing it for all three.

Move in logistics will be interesting but I’m sure you can handle it!

Congrats to your three children. They have some great options. I am trying to figure out how on earth you visited all of the schools. Wow! Great job. Best of luck to them.

Hats off to you! I can’t imagine going through this process for the first time with three. Congrats on great results. Such great choices. I am in awe that you did this with three. Wow.

TripsMom:

if you can swing it financially, do attend BC’s summer orientation. They have separate sections for 'rents, and one is not-to-be-missed.

Update: D switched to Middlebury over Boston College after visiting again (at the last minute!), auditing a class and talking to the (older, distinguished) professor who took her to his office and patiently answered all her questions. Deep down, I know that this is a better fit for her, and that she initially said yes to BC because her father and I are so enamored of the Jesuit tradition. We sent all the deposits, now getting ready to be poor for the next four years!

@TripletsMami you may already be looking into this, but we paid a small fee to drop D1 off at her out-of-state college a day or so early. (They had summer orientation, I didn’t look to see if your three would or orientate the week before classes start.) We had to call to determine if the college had the option and make the “reservation” – I don’t think it was clear on the housing website. Although it wasn’t an official move in day, her RA was there and they had activities planned for those already on campus so it’s not like she was just sitting around in her room waiting for others to show up.

Thank you, IABooks! (Iowa? I am a Hawkeye!)

Iowa, but not a Hawkeye. I’m a UNI grad myself
