triton cash

are there any hidden fees or anything? do you save that much money by using it?

There aren't any traps and the money you don't spend gets carried over into the next school year. Its just supposed to be a convenient method of carrying around cash. I mainly used it for the washing machines.

Ah laundry costs money? I thought with the heavy rooming fees it'd be free. How much is laundry?

75 wash, 50 dry, so 1.25 total, not that bad.

That's pretty good actually. Hey so a question about these housing plans, the price listed on the website for triples(8700), double(9500), and singles(over 10000), do they already include the 2700 food plan? The website really doesn't make that very clear.

Wicked123: There are no hidden fees, but you don't save any money by using it. I only used it for laundry.

kkiiji: Yes, they include the RIDICULOUS $2700 food plan in the housing plans.

Ridiculous as in ridiculously good right? :D

WOW it's 2700 now?? jesus.

for 06-07 school year, it was 1800 and that was all peachy. add in some nights out with friends, some cereal and milk and i spent maybe 2400?

07-08 school year, i was in an apartment and cooked a bit, and 2100 was a lot...adding onto the fact that i had a stove and fridge, so i spent upwards of 3000 (total) on food.

2700 is ridiculous. all the girls will end up buying the most useless things, or get drinks with every meal. all the guys will have just enough :P

i_lose: they still make you buy the full meal plan even if you're in the apartments? that kind of defeats the purpose of having a kitchen.. :(

well you get 2750 with the res hall plan and 2100 with the apt so its a bit less, though not much

RIDICULOUS as in RIDICULOUSLY TERRIBLE. I hate a few, specific members of our student government. These weak-minded fools were manipulated by the profit-hungry dining halls into expanding the meal plan.

yeah...assuming 11 full weeks in the quarter, no going home...you're averaging $11.69/day. you don't need that much.

salad (s/m/l): 1.25/3.25/4.95?
sandwich: varies, but ~5
soup: 1.95/2.25
burgers: 1.95 - 4.95
fries: ~2
main courses: 4-6 on average
pasta: varies, but 2-5
drinks: 1-3
cookie, or some cheap dessert: $1.25

the only time i spent $12/day was finals week (red bulls ftl at 2.82 each) and when friends visited. that's bs.

man im used to 3 full meals a day. that doesn't seem enough to me.

the thing about college is, the normal day usually consists of two meals.. :)

^^ so true. there will be a million opportunities to get free food (bbq and pizza usually) and you will get sick of the food and venture out to price center, library walk, student center, or off campus for something different.
