Hello Guys, Recently I ve been going to go to Princeton (or Cornell or MIT) for architecture major, but ve heard the article about Ivy’s universitis and their “other side” and have big doubts about applying in it. Is it really or not?http://www.vice.com/read/going-to-an-ivy-league-school-sucks-400
Are you going to let a disgruntled student who may have emotional issues change your life goals?
Oh,may be you re right, I am an international student and ve never been in the USA,simple I worry about living in other country,Do you know smth about architecture major in Princeton?
Have you actually been admitted to any college yet?
Sorry,I don’y understand you
He means are you already admitted for fall, 2015 or will you be applying for fall, 2016?
I will be applying for fall 2017
Have you looked at some other architecture schools, too? Admission to the schools you have mentioned is extremely competitive.
Yes,of course, I heard that this school have excellent program for architecture,or I have mistakes about their architecture program?
Yes, it’s a fine architecture program, but applications for admission are competitive.
That article is designed to be controversial and get ‘eyeballs’ for that publication. It is not interesting to find a student to write about their wonderful happy time at college. It is more interesting to find a student who has a cynical and skewed view of his particular college, which is Columbia and not Princeton. This is not a universal experience, this is one person trying to stir a strong reaction, in a online pub trying to sell adverting.
Thank you for answer
Don’t worry about it until you get admission. You should come back to this when you’re deciding which college to attend.
Not applying means you have 0% chance. Do you really want to throw away the opportunity for admission?
Thank you for you opinion, I am an international student and have doubts about applying: 1)to apply in my country(I am from Russia) 2)or to try to apply in the USA. But I don’t know where art or architecture education is better and more opportunities for work? What do you think about it?
