trouble

soo I'm looking for advice here. So I'm a junior in an ivy league uni... its a good school and I don't have any complaints about my school specifically but I am absolutely bored and resentful of college in general.

I feel like these classes are useless for my life. Sure they are interesting and it's nice to be gaining all this knowledge, but FOUR YEARS... just seems like so much time. I know I have only 1.5 yrs left but it seems unbearable right now. I just feel like I am paying so much money for wasting time and accomplishing nothing.

someone kick me into shape.

Didn't you go abroad? Maybe that's something to think about for this summer? Maybe you can look into getting involved in the town/city you're in, just to get away from the campus in general. It can help a lot to get different perspective from elsewhere.

The thing is that by going to a top college, 1) you are establishing a strong network that will increase your chances of employment and well, top careers. 2) You have more opportunities for research, hence increasing your chances for grad school admission.

You have to take into the consideration that the vast majority of students learn things that are not related to their prospective careers. Yet they tend to do better than students without a college education. Why? Credibility. By going to college, you have shown that you are more intelligent and competent than someone without a college degree. Also, college trains your critical thinking skills which will come in handy in any career.

I'm sorry that college seems to be so unproductive. Four years is indeed a long time to be bored and resentful.

Are there things you would like to do, that are fun to do, in the next three semesters that could also help the time pass?
