Hi guys. So the first semester of my high school ended a while ago, and I ended up with a C+ in an extremely hard science class. The class should really be an AP class (I do more work in this class than I do in AP World History), but it is unweighted. Due to this, I was kept from having a 4.0 gpa or above. I want to apply to Stanford when I'm older, but I'm pretty sure that I already killed my chances. I have a 3.777 gpa so far. Any suggestions?

Wait a second, you’re a freshman and you take AP World History?

Calm down. Seriously. If you’re THAT upset about the grade, maybe you can retake it over the summer. You’re just a freshman. Come back to CC in a couple of years.

Yeah, my school lets me take AP World History as a freshman, but that’s the only AP class that freshman are allowed to take. I actually got a B+ in the first semester of that class, so that’s not too bad. It just bugs me since I work too hard to get an average grade in a different class.

Don’t worry about it. You will have plenty of time to make up for that grade.
